Green walls on four operational DMRC metro stations, bringing planted surfaces into daily commuter infrastructure.
Context
Metro stations are operational public buildings with continuous footfall, fixed maintenance windows and zero tolerance for water leaking onto circulation areas. A green wall here must work as building fabric first and landscape second.
GNIX developed and maintains 10,000 sq ft of vertical garden across four DMRC stations in Noida under the Noida Industrial Development Authority.

What made this difficult
Maintenance in short operational windows
Access is constrained by station operating hours and passenger movement, so upkeep must be efficient and predictable.
Dust from adjacent road traffic
Roadside stations accumulate dust film on foliage, which dulls appearance and stresses sensitive species.
